Steven Summer Joins the NSO Board of Directors as a Top Healthcare Industry Leader
DENVER, COLO. (February 22, 2024) — The National Service Office (NSO) for Nurse-Family Partnership® and Child First announced the appointment of Steven Summer, President and CEO of the Healthcare Institute to the Board of Directors.
In his current role at Healthcare Institute, Summer works collaboratively with CEOs from the most progressive, successful and admired nonprofit health systems in the country to advance healthcare leadership, strategy and support the successful evolution of healthcare.
Summer holds an MBA in Health Care Administration from George Washington University and a B.S. in Business Administration from Northeastern University in Boston. Professionally, he has been recognized as the Denver Business Journal Health Care Industry Leader and has been listed in the Denver Business Journal Power Book as one of the top Health Care Industry Leaders in the state.

Prior to joining the Healthcare Institute, Summer served as President and CEO of the Colorado Hospital Association where he represented the unified voice of virtually all Colorado hospitals and health systems in addressing such issues as health care payment and delivery system reform, access to affordable care and coverage, fair and equitable payment, information transparency and making hospitals safe for the patients they serve.

Not only is Summer an active community member in Denver, but he also serves as on the
Board of Directors of Kavod Senior Life, KUNC Board of Directors, NPR Foundation Board of Directors and is a member of the Board of Directors of Assure Neuromonitoring, among others.

Summer and his wife, Loraine, reside in Denver, Colorado and have two grown and successful sons.
